Buttercup

buttercup (they/them) is a multidisciplinary digital artist based in Baltimore, Maryland with a particular focus in illustration, sequential art, and 2D animation. Their work consists of radical, yet familiar moments of Afrodiasporic and indigenous life with a specific focus on queer identity and a distinctive science-fiction/fantasy anime aesthetic. Their debut graphic novel UM was published by Radiator Comics via crowdfundr in 2024.
