Brittney Bourne

I am a Jamaican-American illustrator and character designer with a passion for imagination and play and use my work to reflect on my childhood, bring my young self's imagination to life, and deal with my struggles then. My goal is to create illustrations that mean and stand for something bigger and influence children, adults, and adolescents alike to believe they can do anything they put their minds to. I work in gouache, ink, watercolor, and acrylic markers and repeat that process in my digital work. My influences have always been Studio Ghibli, Disney, Avatar The Last Airbender, and many late 90s and early 2000s anime, cartoons, and video games.
