Naseed Gifted
Naseed Gifted is the Vice Principal at Science Park High School, the No. 1 high school in Newark, N.J. He is dedicated to inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. A New Jersey native, and New Jersey Institute of Technology graduate, Gifted is also the founder of Newark’s Comic Book Festival “Khem Fest.” and “Khem Animation Film Festival”. He is also a two-time Glyph Comic Awards, Urban Action Showcase nominee and 2020 Pioneer/LifeTime Achievement Award recipient, 2021 I CAN STEM NJ inductees, an engineer and writer for an AfroFuturism graphic novel series P.B.Soldier and Jazen, who regularly travels across the country speaking about diversity and using comics to teach S.T.E.M.
Something that was once a childhood hobby has since catapulted into a passion to change the face of comics. His mission in his graphic expression is to encompass a distinct balance between unprecedented storytelling and exceptional artwork. Published works include self-published AfroFuturism / sci-fi comic book series: P.B.Soldier “The Awakening” & Jazen “The Rose that grew from the Concrete”; Short stories: Occupy Renaissance City and Terrorist Act of 2011; and Director/Writer: P.B.Soldier “The Awakening” Short Film and P.B.Soldier Animated Short.
